Tap- Our Rhythmic tap can be tapped to any genre from classical, to broadway, to hip-hop. You’ll learn terminology, rhythm, and timing. Take a journey back to the 1920's to the legendary Bill "Bojangles" Robinson, the father of tap. He was the first person to achieve world fame through the clean and clear percussive rhythms of his feet. Fast forward 80 years - if Bojangles were alive today, what do you think he might be doing? Of course… Hip Hop Tap! Tremendously exciting class! Praise- This class is taught straight from the heart. Also, a method of praise dance. We occasionally use terms from ballet and jazz. Lyrical dance is very expressive, spiritual, and inspirational. It’s dance with a message. Students have freedom of self-expressions. Includes a warm-up and stretching exercises, and across the floor technique. Creative Movement/Tap combo- The first half of this class is Creative movement and the second half is tap. Creative Movement is a fun high energy dance that really gets the Tots moving. Now they can twist and shout in a fun and creative environment! Let's make some noise! In tap, we'll use our feet as musical instruments to learn rhythm and timing. This class develops their locomotive skills allowing the little ones freedom of expression with lots of imagination! Workshops- (for all ages) Often we’d bring in guest choreographers from different cities. These workshops are more intense than your regular group classes and can last for hours at time. Workshops allow you to learn main stream choreography at a fast pace. It increases your learning ability, flexibility, diversity in dance, and performance technique. Highly recommended for those wanting to make it in the entertainment industry. Will definitely take your dancing to the next level!
